Breakfast Point Academy Earns Top ‘A’ Grade, Named Leading Public K-8 School in the Florida Panhandle

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — Breakfast Point Academy (BPA) is celebrating a major educational milestone following the release of Florida’s 2025–2026 school performance grades. Earning a total score of 72 points, the home of the Stingrays officially secured a top-tier "A" grade, cementing its status as the highest-performing public K-8 school in the Florida Panhandle and truly putting the A back in Bay and BPA.

The remarkable performance reflects strong academic mastery across grade levels and subject areas. Highlights from the official school report include:

• Civics: 88% proficiency

• Middle School Acceleration: 83%

• Math Proficiency: 74%

• 5th & 8th Grade Science Proficiency: 74%

• ELA Proficiency: 70%

• ELA Learning Gains: 72%

• Math Learning Gains: 69%

• ELA Lowest Quartile: 67%

• Math Lowest Quartile: 65%

• 3rd Grade Proficiency: 60%

Leadership Reacts to Outstanding Achievement

School leaders attribute the historic accomplishment to relentless collaboration among teachers, administrators, support staff, students, and families.

"This 'A' is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and heart of our entire Stingray family," said Principal Deneice Moss. "Putting the 'A' back in Bay and BPA wasn't just a goal—it was a promise we made to our students. Seeing their hard work reflected in these numbers fills us with immense pride."

Assistant Principals Bryan Long and Cheri Wroblewski highlighted the balanced success across elementary and middle school grades.

"Achieving 88% in Civics and 83% in Middle School Acceleration shows how dedicated our staff is to preparing students for high school and beyond," noted Assistant Principal Bryan Long. "Every department pulled together to elevate student learning."

"Behind every single statistic is a child who grew academically this year," added Assistant Principal Cheri Wroblewski. "Our growth in ELA and Math learning gains—especially among our lowest quartile students—demonstrates that every single child gets the support they need to succeed."

Student culture and day-to-day discipline were also cited as critical factors in providing an environment where academic growth could thrive.

"An 'A' school culture is built day by day in our classrooms and hallways," said Dean of Students Scott West. "When students feel supported, safe, and held to high standards, academic excellence naturally follows."

"It takes total community effort to reach this level," emphasized Dean of Students Lisa Davies. "Our students showed up ready to learn every single morning, and our faculty never stopped encouraging them to aim higher."
