Golden Warriors Sea Cadet Program Open to Area Youth Ages 10–18

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Local youth interested in developing leadership skills, serving their community, and taking on hands-on field adventures now have an open invitation to join the Golden Warriors Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

The Sea Cadets program is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18. Designed to foster character, teamwork, and confidence, the program offers a wide range of real-world experiences—including STEM activities, navigation, aviation, marksmanship, and obstacle course field training. Cadets also regularly give back to Bay County by serving in honor guards, leading local food drives, and organizing community outreach projects.

While the program emphasizes core naval traditions and leadership development, participation requires no military commitment. Opportunities for promotions, awards, national travel, and educational scholarships are also available to participants.

Meetings are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Technology Building at Florida State University Panama City.
