Hey families of BPA!

We hope you're having a fantastic summer!
As we gear up for the 2026-2027 school year, we want to share a couple of friendly—but strictly enforced—reminders about our campus policies so our students can dive right into a successful year. 🎒✨

📱 The Daily Digital Detox (Device Policy)
To keep our focus sharp and our classrooms distraction-free, all mobile devices must take a nap during school hours!
Per Bay District Schools policy, all devices, including cell phones, smart watches (with cellular capabilities), smart glasses, AirPods, and any other internet or data-capable mobile devices, must be turned off and stored securely in backpacks from the first bell at 7:05 AM to the last bell at 2:30 PM daily.

Need to get a message to your student? We've got you covered! Just call the school office at 850-767-1190. ☎️

Please note: This policy is strictly enforced, and violations will be handled as a violation of the student code of conduct and will be subject to the Bay District Schools disciplinary matrix.

👕 Dress for Success (Dress Code Guide)
Let's show off that Sting Ray pride! Here is your quick guide to looking sharp on campus:

Tops: Stick to solid school-approved colors (Blue, Gold, Yellow, White, Gray, Black) in a collared shirt or crew neck t-shirt . A small logo is allowed! You can also rock a school-approved spirit, club, or athletic crew-neck t-shirt (BPA logo only).

Bottoms: Khaki, black, gray, or jeans (without holes!). Shorts, skirts, and dresses must fall to mid-thigh or longer.

Shoes: Keep those toes and heels protected! Shoes must be school-appropriate, closed-toed, cover the heel, and have a back. No flip-flops or backless shoes of any kind. 👟

Outerwear & Accessories: Coats and hoodies can be any color (just no large graphics or non-school spirit designs, though small logos are okay). Hats and sunglasses are great, but only permitted during outdoor activities! 😎

The Ultimate Rule: No pajamas, blankets, or inappropriate clothing. Save the cozy sleepwear for the weekends! 🛌🚫

When in doubt, ask! For approved shirt options, visit: https://www.spiritshop.com or https://bit.ly/44cqd5b

Stay tuned for more updates throughout the summer!

🎒 Middle School Daily Pouches: All 6th–8th graders will need a dedicated pouch packed with daily essentials (pencils, pens, colored pencils, highlighters, and a covered pencil sharpener) to keep with them at all times.

🧮 Math Specialists: Parents of 7th and 8th graders in Pre-Algebra or Geometry, keep an eye out for the specific TI-30Xa calculator requirement.

All students are safe but I’d like to let you know that our campus is currently on a soft lockdown while law enforcement officers pursue a suspect in the area. This situation has nothing to do with our campus and our students are safe. There will be no checkouts at this time. We will keep you updated as we learn more.

This is Deniece Moss, principal of Breakfast Point Academy, with an important message for parents and guardians. All students are safe, but I want to inform you that we recently became aware of a rumor regarding a potential threat involving our school. Law enforcement thoroughly investigated the situation, and we have determined that the threat is not credible. We have additional law enforcement officers on campus to ensure the continued safety and security of our students

We take any reports of this nature very seriously, and I encourage you to use this moment to remind your student about the importance of #SeeSomethingSaySomething. Open communication is key to maintaining the safety and well-being of our school community. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

🎓 A Full Circle Moment: The Senior Walk 2026

There wasn’t a dry eye in the building today as the Class of 2026 returned to where so many of their journeys began.

Seeing our seniors parade through the halls of Breakfast Point Academy in their caps and gowns was a powerful reminder of how far they’ve come. From the wide-eyed elementary students they once were to the confident graduates they’ve become, these students have truly grown up before our eyes.

Thank you, Class of 2026, for coming home to walk these halls one last time. You showed our younger Stingrays exactly what hard work and perseverance look like.

Highlights From the Walk:
High-Fives & Hugs: The excitement from the younger students as their heroes walked by.

Reflections: Seniors visiting their old classrooms and thanking the teachers who started it all.

Legacy: A beautiful reminder that while they are moving on, they will always be a part of the BPA family.

"Once a Stingray, Always a Stingray!" 💙
